Q.How do I get it?

A. By ordering it from our web site. [ http://www.ugr.com ]

Q. Where do I get it?

A. Go to http://www.usergroupstore.com to place order.

Q. How much does it cost?

A. Each product is priced separately at a good discount price. The discounts are normally 30-40% off list price, but the specials can be as much as half off list.

Q. Can I get updates?

A. Most of the software companies we represent offer minor updates at no cost as a download from their web site. New versions of the products are often offered at a special upgrade price from us. Yes, our upgrade price is usually discounted from the normal upgrade cost from the software vendor.

Is this a legal copy?

A. Yes, the products are normally downloaded directly from the software vendor's web site and not from our web site. We provide a serial number that will activate the software that is downloaded. We have contractual agreements with all of these vendors to represent them to user group members and this is all very legally done.

Q. Do you support this software?

A. All of the software companies offer some sort of support for their products. This is usually done as free email support or telephone support for an additional fee. User group members should address their problems first to the software vendors and to me as an alternate way to get support. I try to help and advise my user group customers as best I can on the proper use of the products, but do not have access to the code to provide full technical support to them. Again, the software companies provide full technical support for their products. I can also assist them if they find that the software company is not offering them adequate support or are ignoring their questions. I serve as an ombudsman in this regard.

Can I download it or have it sent to me on CD?

A. Most of the products are available as a download, but a couple of products only come on a CD. Normally, a member of the Windows Forum could order the product as a download and I will send them within 24 hours download instructions and a serial number to activate the software on their computer. For those that cannot download software products, we will download the software for you and burn it to an unofficial CD and mail you the CD. This service is available only to those living in the USA and Canada. We do not charge for this unofficial CD, but there is a small shipping charge to mail the CD to you. Again, the CD is only available in the USA and Canada. All others must request the download option.

Q. What is your relationship with Acronis?

A. I work on a contractual basis with Acronis and the other vendors I represent to promote their products to the user group community. I have been doing this for over 25 years and am widely known in these user groups.

Q. Can I get refund?

A. We offer all of our customers a full refund of the price they paid for the product (shipping charges are not refundable) anytime within the first 30 days after the product is ordered. We want our customers to use the products they purchase from us. Please email us if you wish to return a product and we will tell you how to do this. Often it can be as easy as emailing us the serial number of the product you wish to return for a refund.

Q. What payments are accepted for the products?

A. We accept VISA, MasterCard, and Discovery credit cards as payment. These will be processed in the USA for the USA prices shown on the products. If you live outside the USA, your credit card company will convert the charges to your local currency at whatever rate they offer. We do not get involved in these conversion rates. Contact your credit card company if you feel the rates are unfair. You can also order products on our web site and indicate that payment will be mailed. Then you can mail a check or Money Order with a copy of your invoice printed from the order. We do not ship any products until the mailed in payment is received, so expect a delay if you mail in your payment. We accept checks of Money Orders in USA dollars or Canadian dollars only.

Q. How quickly is delivery of the products?

A. We process all orders off line, so you will not be able to instantaneously download your software when you order it. We normally will have an email message with the download instructions and a serial number to activate your product sent to you within 24 hours of placing the order. We attempt to send these out much quicker than this, but this may be difficult when we are traveling or do not have access to the internet. Orders on CDs are normally mailed at the post office within 24 hours of when we receive the order. Delivery is normal First Class mail times or Priority Mail times. In general, you should have your CD in a few days of placing the order. Please notify us if you have not received your shipment in these time limits. Mail-in orders must wait for the order to be mailed to us and received by us before we can process and ship the product, so this may take 2-3 times longer than credit card purchases.
