  1. Usually, only a graphic designer is skilled to modify images. However, with Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 users can do simple artwork such as removing the background of an image even if they don’t know graphic designing. Here’s how a background of an image can be removed in MS PowerPoint 2010. Open a PowerPoint presentation using PowerPoint 2010. Click on the Insert tab in the ribbon and insert the picture by clicking on Picture button in Images section for which you want to remove background. Click on Format Picture tab in the ribbon Click on Remove Background button. You may need to do a little editing to remove the background of your image. After final editing, click on Keep Changes option to remove the background. This may be not so effective/professional as editing them with Photoshop, but it works pretty well for MS PowerPoint presentations.

  5. ou can recover deleted files on your Windows PC internal/external hard drive, SD card or any other external drive using UndeleteMyFiles Pro software. It is a freeware and you can download it from any of the reliablesite. You can use the program to search for deleted files quickly and easily and restore them to a specified location. It is very easy to recover deleted files using this software. Here is the way: Download and Install UndeleteMyFiles Pro. On the File Rescue screen, select the drive that contained the files you’ve deleted accidentally Click the Scan button at the bottom of thescreen. After the scan is complete, a list of delete files appears. Click on the checkboxes next to files you want to restore and click the Recover button. A Browser For Folder dialog box appears. Browse for the folder in which you want to restore deleted files and click OK.A warning message appears if you’ve selected a folder to restore deleted files in the same drive from which the files were deleted. It is recommend to restore the files at different drive location. Again a dialog box appears to recover the files at a specified location directly or to recover it with their directory structure at the specified location. Click Yes to recover the files at the specified location directly or click No to recover it with original directory structure. After completion of the recovery process, a dialog box appears to display the statistics about the process. Click OK.
  6. Document Map is useful for long documents where you can map content of any document in Word 2007. You can jump to any part of the document on heading basis or page basis. This feature also provides bird’s-eye view for the document structure. This post shows you how to use Document Map to navigate between your word document and to view the document structure. By using this, you can also change the style of Document Map outline. To do so, follow the inline steps: 1. Click on View tab on the ribbon and select Document Map check box in Show/Hide group. 2. A pane displays on the left side of the screen and shows the headings of the document. You can jump to that particular heading by clicking on the entry provided in the Document Map. It may also show you the thumbnails of all the pages of the document. For this, select Thumbnails from the drop-down list at the top of the Document Map pane. These thumbnails help you to quickly jump to a particular page. You can set the heading level you want to display in the Document Map section. To do this, right-click on the Document Map pane and select any of the Show Heading option you want.
  7. There are various reasons because of which Google Chrome browser may crash. Here are a few solutions you may try out to solve the issue. Google Chrome may crash due to a conflict with some software installed on your computer. The software may be network-related software, a video-conferencing client that interfaces with Google Chrome or yes, a malware as well. Here’s what you need to do to know about the software which is responsible for the crash: 1. Type chrome://conflicts into the Chrome address bar 2. Press Enter. You will get a list of software causing crashes to Google Chrome. Some typical ones are Safe Eyes Parental Control Software, ContentWatch, Microsoft Office XP Input Method Editor, Naomi Web Filter, Trusteer Rapport, Hide My IP, Venturi Firewall, and PPLive. 3. If you have any of these applications installed try to update it. You can also try to disable or uninstall it to fix the problem. Following applications require specific steps to be performed to fix crash issues with Google Chrome: Internet Download Manager Update to IDM v6 03 beta from www.internetdownloadmanager.com or disable the 'Advanced browser integration' option within IDM. ESET NOD32 Antivirus Upgrade to NOD32 version 2.7 to fix the issue. Have iS3 anti-spyware (STOPzilla) Disable the iS3 anti-spyware or update to the latest version to see if it resolves your issue. NVIDIA Network Access Manager Disable NVIDIA Network Access Manager to install the issue. WinMount Try updating to the newest version of WinMount from their website. A malware can also crash Google Chrome. So it’s best to scan your PC with a licensed and up-to-date security software. In some cases, Flash plugin also causes crashes. If you are facing regular Shockwave Flash crashes, you may disable the internal Flash plugin and use standard Flash plugin in Chrome. Corrupt profile also crashes Google Chrome. You can test it by creating new profile in Chrome’s settings page. To do so, open the settings page of Chrome and click on ‘Add new user’ button in the ‘Users’ section then change to the new profile. System files may also cause Chrome crash, so to fix it Google recommends running SFC.EXE/SCANNOW program to fix the protected system files of your Windows system. Type cmd in your Start menu, Right-click on it >> Select Run as administrator Type SFC.EXE/SCANNOW Press EnterWindows will scan your PC and fix the problems with system files.

As it’s apparent from its name, a graphics card works to enhance gaming and video viewing experience of the users. An updated graphics driver gives you best performance. Most of the graphics card brands like NVIDIA, AMD, etc. frequently release updates for graphic driver for almost every product of theirs. How to identify your Graphic Card? Through Device Manager Go to the Device Manager (Click Start >>Device Manager) Expand the Display adapters section to see the manufacturer and model of your computer’s graphic card. Through Speccy Another way to get specification of your computer's graphics card is through third party software i.e. Speccy. It is freeware from developers of CCleaner that give you detailed information about your computer hardware. Download and install Speccy. Right click on its Desktop Icon >> click on Run as administrator to get detailed computer's hardware specification. Generally, you can get updated graphics drivers from your graphics hardware manufacturer's website. Download and install it from there to have best graphics performance on your PC. Some well-known graphics card developer also have update-checking utilities that automatically check for new graphics driver versions and keep you updated about them. A popular one among them is the NVIDIA Update Utility. Bear in mind that your old graphics hardware may eventually die and manufacturers move to newer hardware from time to time. So this update procedure may not work forever.

In case you have a fair knowledge about the specific options needed, you can select only those as well. A dialog box appears that prompts you to wait while the changes take effect. You may need to restart your PC to enable this feature to work properly. This feature is needed in development work, especially in ASP.NET. Note: All the versions of Windows 7 and Vista may not have this feature.
  10. From Outlook 2003 to 2010, you might want to use IMAP with your Gmail account to get your mail MS-Outlook. First of all, check whether IMAP is enabled or not in Gmail. Follow the below mentioned steps to check/enable IMAP: 1. Log in to your account and go to Settings panel. 2. Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab and verify/set IMAP enabled and save changes. Now you can add your account in Outlook, follow below steps: 1. Click on File tab >> Account Settings 2. Click on Add and Remove Accounts or change existing connection settings. 3. In the Account Settings window, click on New button 4. Enter your name, email address & password in Account Setup box. 5. Clink on Next button and follow on-screen instructions to complete the setup. Your Gmail account is added automatically in Outlook. You can configure IMAP settings manually also by following below steps: 1. Follow the first three steps mentioned above. 2. In the Account Settings window, select Manually configure server settings or additional server types. 3. Select Internet E-mail 4. In the Internet Email Settings window, enter your name, email address, and password in User Information & Logon Information section. 5. In the Server Information section, choose Account Type as IMAP and type Incoming mail server: imap.gmail.com & Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.gmail.com 6. Click on More Settings button >> Advanced tab and verify/enter Incoming server: 993, Incoming server encrypted connection: SSL, Outgoing server encrypted connection: TLS and Outgoing server: 587 7. Click on Test Account Settings button. If all the above information is entered correctly, configuration will complete successfully. Now you can use Outlook for your Gmail account services.

Open the worksheet on which you want to put the background image. 2. Go to the 'Page Layout' tab on the Ribbon and click 'Background'. A 'Sheet Background' dialog box appears. 3. Go to the image you want to add as your background image and select it 4. Click on 'Insert' button. The background image is set as Background and is displayed in the worksheet.

Press 'Start' button and click on 'Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool' in the 'All Programs' tab 2. In the 'Source File' box, type the name & path of ISO file or click 'Browse' button to select the file from 'Open' dialog box and click 'Next'. 3. Select the USB device to create a copy of the ISO file When the ISO file is copied onto the USB drive, restart you PC and go to BIOS settings to make the USB drive as the first bootable device.

After Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant is installed, run it to purchase Windows 8 Pro. 3. Go through the on-screen instructions to check if it is possible to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro in your PC. 4. When it is finalized that your PC is capable of running Windows 8 Pro, follow the on-screen instructions to make payment and subsequently download and install your OS copy. 5. After the installation is complete, customize it as per your preferences. Note: You can only upgrade to Windows 8 Pro, if your PC has Windows XP SP3, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 Customer Preview or Windows 8 Release Preview. In case of XP SP3 & Vista, you may need to reinstall the apps.
