  2. scarecrow man, makes me wonder too. why would it be so far apart. every time ive every seen applications seperated so far apart from there ext. is when they were download via a third party source. Veolw, where did you get this application? and what is your native language?
  3. if your in dear need of the administration password there is third party applications to do so. but, personally i wouldnt help some one get them unless they could settle my mind that THEY are the admin, and not trying to get another users password.
  4. -pops-, i have had some cases where that wouldnt work on some laptops. either do to virus infection or or OEM pre-fab. amferraro, did that work? if it didnt, could you please tell us the mobo's manufacturer and model #?
  5. VLC will work, but you need dcom95. it is possible.. but can you say "CHOPPY!!! chap!"
  6. is your host blocking th use of includes? if so set up a smarty interpreter script. would just re-formatt the page just after the host formats it. just a pointer, iframes would work too but.....personally i think there a web page nightmare.
  7. its the server side. whats happening is the servers listening port suddenly closes and your software reports a connection error. or the server is down. its not usually software related locally. just incase download firefox - http://www.mozilla.com/products/download.h...&lang=en-US fireftp - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/684/ (for direct ftp support) fasterfox - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1269/ (to speed up things via browser settings) _______________________________________________________________ install Firefox, then install Fireftp, then install faster fox. go to tools, then fireftp. in firefox. http://nikescomputers.php1h.com/img/fireftp_open.GIF click manage accounts in the new tab. http://nikescomputers.php1h.com/img/fireftp_manage.GIF then new, then fill in the information. then press connect. http://nikescomputers.php1h.com/img/fireft...age_account.GIF should look similiar to this when done. http://nikescomputers.php1h.com/img/fireftp_conected.GIF] ps. - please remove "http://www.php1h.com/showpic.php?pic=" from the address when looking at screenshots. host tries to re-route picture requests.
  8. i know what the problem is, i had the same issue with my 5600gt. (BTW MOHAA ROCKS!!, handle:kingtiger, -=masters=-kingtiger, kingtiger01. xfire:kingtiger01) anyways, just download the Driver from the nvidia website. a opengl Complaint Driver is not installed for your video card. not a big deal, but i would go buy a DECENT video card. (cheap low end video card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16814141016 )
  9. id be careful with locally based Address books. and i agree, microsoft needs to get there head out of the sand. you deleted either by accident or during the install the Pro11.msi cabniet installer, MSoffice requires it to run the program the first few times. they use it for compression (dont ask me why, i thought they were stupid when they preposed it 4 years ago) try openoffice, personally i prefer it any day over Microsofts office. as for Publisher, install it in custom install and junk the rest. (open office - http://openoffice.org)
  10. Fixing the MBR wont help much when its Linux, bootloader design changes the default location. what bootloader are you using? what distrobution is your core based off from?
  11. if i were you i would just kick up the amount of pagefile availible. some times stupid things like uninstalling applications makes the system do things like limit down the amount of page file. start > control panel > system > advanced > (under performance) settings > advanced > (under virtual memory) change > check custom settings. then enter ___________________________________________________________ |initial size (mb): 4092 | |Maximum size (mb): 4092 | ___________________________________________________________ then press set, a reboot is normally required. MAKE SURE YOU Wright DOWN YOUR DEFAUL SETTINGS FOR YOU CAN REVERT IF THESE SETTINGS DONT WORK FOR YOU!!! then tell us how it works.
  12. same problem i had with this system. Processor or Video card is cooked, or almost. Causes system instability after ahwhile, then you get like me. a 20inch box fan blowing 24/7 in side the case with your wallet pryed close to you hopeing the system wont completly go lol. try switching out video cards and processor. thats what i do, its obviously not a software issue.
  13. if i were you i wouldnt do away with NOD32 and ZA. theres millions of AV suites, 99.9% are plain out and simply junk. not to mention i get daily "try my software for free for 9 months" etc, there just gimics.
  14. honestly unless the application is actually checking for a entry like that why would it matter? is it mucking with the application or causing the application to not install?
  15. its very unuasul for it not to work, what program are you using that is asking for ie5.5???? all IE, Firefox etc. do is interprete text, older versions would do nothing more then cause display issues(html xml that is, not litteral video display) P.s- only one version of IE per folder, Per installation.
