Rest assured that I have the most pleasant of telephone manner even when dealing with the most unpleasant type of person. There will be no vitriol. I am pleased that you have accepted my request, and I look forward to communication from you next week then, when we can exchange mutual telephone numbers. Although I have offered an alternative, It would seem that you would still rather keep your correspondence out here in public, and in full view rather than in private by means of a private message (PM) then ? - Strange. - Any particular reason for that choice ? Regards, John.

Just bumping it up to the top again Alan. Bumping posts around, to either lose them, or have them seen would seem to be the to be the current game to play at the moment. :)
  3. That is useful information. Personally................... Many thanks.

    Set up network

There are many very well known problems networking Vista, 7 and XP. Try these guides to help you: - http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9019179/Teach_XP_and_Vista_to_play_nice_on_networks http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/15247/complete-guide-to-networking-windows-7-with-xp-and-vista/ If that doesn't quite fit the bill, there are many more workarounds to be found on Google. One pageful being:........................... https://www.google.com/search?q=problems+networking+vista+and+xp&source=lnms&sa=X&ei=TGKVUeeXHemn0QWHroC4CQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAA&biw=1278&bih=600
  5. Check out Technet Forums There is of course no reason whatsoever that you should take my advice, apart perhaps from the argument that I am a highly intelligent and educated prat who studied logical thought and lateral thinking at Nightschool for many, many, mornings and afternoons over the past five years. (There is a joke in there somewhere, you've just got to find it. - Could be hard to translate into Portuguese though :( ) Logically ? - -You start searching at source. - i.e - A Microsoft Technet Forum. - Seemples.
  6. Best case scenario ? - Take your computer to a shop. - Well, - you did ask.

    Windows Explorer Problem

:) Lovely pictures special one. - Just a slight suggestion though, - when you upload to Imageshack, upload as jpeg it just does save so much space on the intertubes dear one. "Give me" - It is, - Very bold. - I am so much liking such a thing in a post, - and so pleasant about your nature that you have also remembered to say the magic word please. You wish this advice as a gift ? - Or perhaps are you trying to barter ? - - Aah, - I only joke, - But fear not zikaros2, - Someone with a better internet connection than myself at present will be with you soon to offer such very excellent free advice I am sure. Our very own Rongee (Rong) who has often disagreed with the way posts are answered here on the forum is very much your man I feel. Over to you Rongee Sahib to answer this persons problem.

    Father and Son Keytar

If you wish you can send me a Private message "Artist" (PM). From there I will present you with my personal Telephone number from where I will speak to you on a few outstanding subjects once I am home from my current travels. Alternatively you can supply me with your Telephone number. I have no fear whatsoever of those who mock the bereaved, or their words. It seems to me that you are a well balanced sort of a chap. - A chip on each shoulder maybe ? As you have self nominated yourself to speak on behalf of Pat, Perhaps you would like to give some informed feedback on the mentioned product of "Tweaking.com" and at least lend some sort of computer based input to the forum rather than the usual negative criticism ? :) By-the-way. It was an old guy named Peter Spargo who told me that I was the main man when I rodded his drains back in the early 90's. Family humour being what it is, that then transposed into ManemanQ12 @ blahblah.com I've just used the moniker ever since. Why did you want to know ? Perhaps you will tell me of that, and the mockery made at the time of our family bereavement when we speak to each other on the telephone. - The ball is now firmly in your court and a few readers will be interested in the outcome I believe. I am being completely transparent by offering my telephone number remember. John.

    Yet Another Puzzle Posting

Hi Alan. I am at Dartmoor again for a while. The prison governor has been ever so understanding and allowed me supervised use of a computer. :) We received your email which I took as being a block mail to all friends and family. As the subject was already covered in our quite recent telephone conversation I didn't bother to go any further until I heard more from you re: - New Address and Phone number. Can I still use your past telephone number once we are home ? .=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=. I digress. - Back to your puzzle. What is happening obviously should not be happening unless you have set something up wrongly. No way should the viewing habits of one account be able to be viewed from another account. (Absolutely crushing when the missus finds out you have been Googling for "Bad Boys In Leather" old chap.) As you use "Google Play" are you completely sure that the Nexus and the Desktop are not signed in with the same user and password ? - It would be best as a first stage to sign out, and then sign in again on each of the Google accounts individually, - including the Notebook, on which of course you still have the choice of three options. Your Account (Desktop) - Libby's Account (Nexus) - Your Account ( Dormant account) Just in case anything strange is going on it would also be worth going into Account settings on each one when signed in and making sure that nothing is ticked that should not be ticked. https://www.google.com/settings/account As apps can be installed onto the Nexus from the Desktop when signed in with the same Username & Password, - Are you sure this is not what has happened ? Most times when there are only two of you, it is far easier just to stick to signing in with the same user account across the whole span of machines. If people found out how Google works their devious little system Alan, 99% of folks wouldn't use it at all. "Google" "Nexus Google" "Google Apps" are not for the paranoid or feint of heart. - A Power unto themselves are Google. :) .=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=. Do me a favour Alan. There is a chap called SUPRIYA74569 sitting over at "Hardware Support and Discussion" since 18.43 yesterday. He may well be a genuine poster. - Could you point him towards the things that I wrote up on "Blue Screen Of Death" (BSOD's) in "Essential Guides" Please ? Others seem a tad too busy at the moment, and my Internet connection is blowing about like a candle in the wind here on the Moors mate. Cheers. John. Luv to 'er indoors.

Yes ! - Correct ! - Dang. -Dang - Dang. :D - for your age, I swear you are growing sharper by the day Pat. - How in hecks name did you work that one out so quickly ? - - Would you ever consider being a moderator on a forum that had anything at all to do with computers or technology ? I wonder if now you would please give us your feedback and review of the "Tweaking.com" product that I mentioned as the last post in this particular thread: http://forums.windowsforum.org/index.php?showtopic=50712

    Angry Birds Toons

Thanks for a nice little review which had nothing whatsoever to do with "The Angry Birds Movie" from the Oxford University educated Philip Hughes from Scrapyard Sidings, Oxfordshire. Thanks Philip. Nice to have you as a fellow member.

how to get rid of the noise?

Have just had chance to re-evalute and make more of a grab at your main title - "How to get rid of the noise?" If the noise that you are hearing is "Voices", and they are telling you it is time to go - Clean the Guns. Hang tight we are trying to trace you. Do not listen to any other signals that are coming in to your network but ours. The codewords will be "Red Squirrel In a Snow Situation" (Would I make a good scriptwriter or what already ?. B) ) Put the guy on the telephone that thought it was funny that my Mother-in-Law Died recently. I'll show him what real funny is already. :)

how to get rid of the noise?

You are just asking "Too many people". You just need one good buddy to talk you down from a bad trip man. - I've been there. Think it through and try to get your "Buddy" to explain it to the forum so that we can help with the problem.
