  1. If you have two machines that both are at least Windows Vista, follow these steps: 1. Connect the two computers so that they are seen on the network 2. Open a command prompt 3. Type: mklink /d /j C:\Users\(Name) C:\ *Replace (Name) with whatever you want and substitute both "C"s with the drive you want to see 4. Use the other machine 5. Open Windows Explorer 6. Click Network (on the left) 7. Open the computer with the (Name) folder 8. Open the "Users" folder 9. Open the (Name) folder (you now have access to another machine's folders and files) Typically, you can only see the "Users" folder of the other computer linked to your network. Please spread the news about this tip.
  2. Hello. So my computer had a default program (I don't know which program) to open zip. files. The Zip folders appeared normally (the icon with a folder with a ziper) and when I clicked them with the right button they gave me the option to "extract files". I had instaled one program (Express Zip) I don't remember why, and when I did it gave another option when doing that, besides "extract files" it had another option to open the folders with that program. However, today I mistakenly choose the option to open with Express Zip and it said it had to install some components. So I did, and it changed the appearance of the folders and when realized what I had done, I uninstaled it. Thats when the problem begun. I checked the folders again and they didn't have any icon, just a blank thing (like when you don't have any program to open RAR and it doesn't recognize the type of file). When I clicked it, no options where there. They were all gone, both "extract files" and "extract with expres zip". My computer didn't recognize it, and just had the option to chose the program to open the file, but all it shows is chrome and internet ex.. I reinstalled the program and it didn't work, so I tried to install winzip but it still didn't work. I tried to turn off and on my computer but it was the same. Can anyone help me please? I don't know what happened, I just uninstalled Express Zip and this happened. Thanks, Tiago.
  3. I am in need of some help to copy all of the files (regardless of file type) from a single directory with multiple folders and subfolders, into a single folder. Here is my predicament... I have to modify all of the files (zip, mp3, etc) in order for them to work with my new karaoke system. There are about 40,000 files. I have a folder structure (that someone else set up) that is a mess. There are folders and subfolders all over the place and I am going crazy opening and closing folders. :-) So, I need all of the files copied from of all of the subfolders into a single folder to where I can look at all the files at once. Here is my messy folder (with many.. many subfolders underneath it): C:\Karaoke Song Files\Updated Karaoke Files as of 041912\All Karaoke\Karaoke Here is my destination C:\ABC Is there a command I can use in command prompt that would do this for me and copy all of the files into the new ABC folder? Your help would be GREATLY appreciated. David
