Dencandy
I'm afraid this link doesn't connect. Try making it again but make sure the cursor is over the text in blue on the left in the link box before you press the "Paste" button.Well, now it's OK. Maybe the server was too busy at that time to take any more connections. What the site says about all the essential security utilities being available free of charge is correct, especially since Microsoft introduced its own Security Essentials (which is proving to be very popular, I believe). However, the Microsoft firewall is still only one-way (incoming, not outgoing - to enable MS to continue collecting statistics about your computer usage). Also, some other security products - paid and free - may still be more effective than Microsoft's own. Finally, the English on the site is appalling. Nearly every line contains a grammatical or spelling mistake which creates a bad impression for viewer. I suggest you get a friend to check the English pdq. andsome
I prefer to use an installed great quality one that has never ever let me down in all the years that I have used it, and it is Eset. I use the full security suite, complete with firewall. It is not expensive and is worth every penny of the modest fee. What is more there is telephone help in this country should you ever need it. It updates the definitions automatically several times a day
Belatucadrus
The best freebie is probably still avast! despite getting a bit adwareish of late. IMTNT
Since you idiots are dumb enough to reply to a spammer who posted to an old thread...any paid anti-virus program used on Windows 7 or later is just a waste of money to give you a false sense of security.
