Yes I have just been unable to connect. I emailed Alanho to see if he was ahving a problem and when I came back and tried again ....here I am.

I have no idea of the situation since mid morning because we have had visitors until less than an hour ago.

Anything to do with the broken connections under the Med (BBC)? Seems a bit strange, but where is the Forum server based? From here (Sri Lanka) connections are currently very slow, but have only been unobtainable a couple of times since last Friday.

Also, remember the problems many of us had with the Christmas skin last year?

They should have called it Wall.E. :(

Wouldn't these wires only be affecting the forums visitors from overseas?

Yeah seem to get this problem quite often. I usually go and browse the BBC site or summat else the check in again. Had thought it was my TT link, but having been given a new router (for free!) my synch has gone up from the 1-2 MB to a rock steady 5+ MB I'm thinking the problem must lie elsewhere. It's annoying would like to solve this problem 'cause the Forum is "My Favourite - don't tell the others"

just experiencing a problem myself with 404 errors as I was checking this thread,

Your last hop before things go awry, 87.127.231.90 belongs to entanet, a shropshire based server,

I'm currently getting high ping times with 213.248.64 which is owned by

inetnum: 213.248.64.0 - 213.248.105.255

netname: TELIANET

descr: TeliaSonera International Carrier

descr: AS1299 Backbone

post a tracert of when you are able to connect doug, we may find the one above used by both of us, and could possibly be the fault

Do you by chance use the DREADED FF or the marvellous IE? :D

Marvellous even after the massive coverage of its security vulnerabilty? :P

I couldn't get on a little while ago, did anyone get this? I was thinking it was my internet because I'm doing a lot of other things at the minute to prevent access to some sites, but I tried other websites and it was OK. Apart from the one that I've just learnt is down for maintenance.
