When DVD players stop working there's frequently little you can do about it. The lasers in them aren't indestructible and when they start to play up can be irritating. You can try using a wet cleaning disk like this  but there's no guarantee it'll work and you may end up having to replace the player.

You really need to supply more details for anyone to be able to help.

 

My own view is that once a DVD player shows any signs of malfunction it is time to consider a replacement. Repairs made to DVD players are only rarely successful and, as the devices are now so low in cost, it is not economically viable to attempt a repair. What I mean by that is that you can probably buy a new machine for less than the price of a repair.
