Gustavo Woltmann
Is there any difference between anti-maleware and anti-virus? Regards, Gustavo Woltmann
Boris
Yes - you need both to be safe.
Belatucadrus
If you read some magazine reviews you will see that while most AV software claims to cover both, some aren't that good at it so a two tier approach is safest. Particularly if you like file sharing and searching the more dubious areas of the net.
seoasad
Anti-virus is specific. However, you can argue that it is more than just virus (...that which duplicates itself...)when it concerns computers.Anti-malware is more general. As such it includes anti-virus, anti-spyware, worms trojans...
RonPeters
Yes. Anti-Virus software is a general Anti virus program for removal of viruses. Anti-Malware is a program for removal of viruses, trojans, ransomwares and other major threats.
