What are you having for dinner today?

Turkey casserole today made with a turkey leg picked up for 60 pence in the "reduced" section at Tesco.

There's enough meat on it to make a soup tomorrow. I hope it doesn't end up like the proverbial Christmas turkey roast and last for many weeks, though.

Saturday will be M & S butter chicken with rice and some samosas.

M&S Butter Chicken is top of the ready-made food league for me. When we are lazy and either not in the mood or have time for home made curries - it is our favourite.

For some strange reason the M&S jar of butter masala sauce has a slightly different flavour - but still excellent

As intimated yesterday, I am doing turkey soup. there is plenty of meat to keep the dog well fed for a couple of days and that will be the end of it- Good buy for 60 pence!

Amazing value!

Today is braised pig's liver with bacon & onions. Served with mash and pointy cabbage.

The mash is the insides of potatoes baked in the oven. I will be using the shells tomorrow for cheese & bacon potato skins.
