Homemade pizza today with tomato, ham cheeses, anchovy, olives and capers.

The base is one of several made a few weeks ago, part cooked and kept in the freezer.

Whole wheat pasta, with chopped onion and plenty of chopped garlic, a can of red beans and a jar of ragu sauce. We will sprinkle a good helping of Parmesan on top.

Baked spuds with tinned tuna. No wine - I put 2 kg on during the river cruise and have to get rid of it before we go to Portugal next week.

Macaroni cheese with a topping of crushed tomatoes. There are some cherry tomatoes at the back of the fridge which are getting a bit ancient so they will be lightly comminuted (bashed) and placed on top of the macaroni.

Missed yesterday. Anyway, it was baked potatoes stuffed with chopped bacon and cheese.

 

Today is smoked cod Mornay with new potatoes and broad beans. All fresh, nothing out of the freezer.

Yesterday, Pork meatballs in passata, mashed spud and purple sprouting.

 

Today, Feather steak beef stew, the rest of the mashed spud & kale.

Yesterday we had roast chicken with several cloves of garlic up its rear end, with carrots, roast taters and cavolo nero.

 

Today we are having the same except that the chicken will of course be cold.

I was going to have mussels in tomato sauce today but couldn't get mussels except as part of a pack of mixed seafood (mussels, king prawn and squid). So, it's mixed seafood in tomato sauce with couscous.

Pork burgers with Actifry chips and mushy peas. The pork burgers are made from low-fat pork mince, grated apple, sage and salt & pepper.
