Hurdy
Does it matter where you're located - I know andsome's in Staffs and I'm in Warks.Would they use different servers from you Nel?
andsome
Can't access it from Google either. It has to be NTL.
andsome
Does it matter where you're located - I know andsome's in Staffs and I'm in Warks.Would they use different servers from you Nel?NTL is a franchise. It is possible that the servers are dependent on area.. If I get a problem, the engineers are usually sent out by Coventry. Why not phone NTL again, and ask them to talk you through setting a local proxy. You will probably find that Outlook Express will not work then, so you will need them to give you the Outlook Express settings as well. nellie2
Hurdy.... I can't really see anything out of place on your log. The only thing I'm not sure of is this.R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1It looks from that like any proxy is being diverted straight back to your machine. You can have a go at fixing it using HJT if you like but put the HJT exe file in a folder first. If it messes up you can always put it back using the config button on HJT
Hurdy
We set two different proxys but no good. The chap I spoke to was totally stumped and he said he'd have to pass it on.The thing is it took me twenty minutes to get through. :(Edit: spelling
