Guest The Ghost of Inept Pig
PlanetMedalOfHonor.com has word of the follow ups to the original MOH (both on the console and PC), and a further expansion pack to be added to Spearhead.Click here for the entire release. Not sure about releasing an expansion pack to an expansion pack, but it does follow EA's set pattern of releasing as many 'add-ons' to their popular titles as they can... Guest Mundy
Nice one Ghost. I can't wait, thats fantastic news. Looks like MoH fans have loads to look forward to. :D Is that a first then... an expansion to an expansion? I have no doubt that it'll be another huge hit. All the new titles (with possible exception to the Spearhead expansion) will be using a brand new engine, capable of handing the environment and all the great graphical effects, which is truly, exciting news!O'h my gawd... i just hope my system will be up to it, perhaps I better start saving up now. Guest ordep
Expanding the expansion pack is possible as it become the expanded expansion to the first expansion. Thus the first one being the original, original game that is not the expansion. Should a further expansion occur, it will be the expanded expansion to the first expansion, thus making it the extended second expansion.I hope this helps clear matters up a bit

Guest Mundy
A bit more info about this click here.As the game progresses, you'll see action all across the Pacific, including the major battles such as Guadalcanal. Missions often aren't fought alone, and to make for a few familiar faces there'll be a few squadmates that will stick with you as the story progresses. Another way the designers are thinking of reinforcing the impact of the Pacific war is by showing the main character in cutscenes--a first for a Medal of Honor game--to convey how he changes mentally and physically after months on the front lines. If the idea pans out, he'll go from being a green recruit to looking buff and battle-hardened, with the "thousand-yard stare" of a man who's seen plenty of action.Only ten months to go! Here's a screenshot...

Guest Damo
seems to me that the console freaks are getting the better deal again! whilst we've got 'pacific assault' coming out in jan 2004 consolers have 'rising sun' in 2003 and the sequel in 2004!Bah! The term 'Console Freaks' is used in the kindest possible way!
Guest spook
Nice one. Well, something's better than nothing, eh? Damo. Can't win em all - Ordep, makes perfect sense to me. What a wonderful marketing strategy - barring all those who later on might want one or other expansion pack but not the really old ones like Spearhead. American logic at it's best I think. Mind you, they can always patch that later, I guess. What was that we were all on about, once upon a time ago, back in the days of the PCa room? Loss of originality? Repetition in game themes? Making a quick buck and satisfying an established market? Well, I never! Proves we're all a bunch of nags then, I suppose. If we're happy anyway - let the game begin!for Mundy particularly... though it might ring true for all I guess:
Guest The Ghost of Inept Pig
Further babblings on this courtesy of PlanetMedalOfHonor.com, so:First off...TKO Software has been employed by EA to develop an expansion pack for the original Medal of Honor. This is not an expansion to SpearheadSo, there is no expansion to the expansion, just an expansion to the orgininal (expansionless) game. And, on news of a patch for Spearhead...The patch is getting close to being complete, it is not publicly available yet. However we do have it running on our EALA TOW Only Server. Go ahead and check it out. Clients running 2.11 can connect to 2.15 servers so there should be no problems. Also, there's the same rehashed information (with a few added bits) if you click here
Guest spook
EALA TOW Only Server what's one of those then? So, all this 'expansioneering' is pointless then? Thought as much. Nice one IP. (For killing an otherwise interesting (but pointless) argument.) :D And what does 'rehased' mean? Not heard that one in a while...
Guest The Ghost of Inept Pig
And what does 'rehased' mean? Not heard that one in a while...Don't know, why'd you ask? EALA Tow Only Server - 12.13.60.148:12203 - maybe it stands for Electronic Arts Los Angeles - Tug-of-War only server? You can find it through All Seeing Eye (Ctrl & F - server name) So, you could go have a play if you really wanted to....And I didn't kill the argument... it died of natural causes... Guest spook
No my friend, you murdered it, well and good. ;) Just like you always do (game antics as testamony).Yeah whatever the word you made it up all well and good that you don't know either. Fair enough.Smarty pants regarding the EALA point. Yes. Now that does stand to reason, unlike your last remark. And you can play on the server also? By golly, it's a clever server then, int it? Yarrrrr hee hee haawww hawww hee ha huh herrrrrr. Why you no at work my friend? the economy needs you! By the way I was doing my bit for king and country just a min ago back on the battlefields of '42. It was a laff - these germany guys were playing and me with the tactful and delicate remark that did they enjoy playing as '*beep*'? It was the axis they were playing for y'see. They were clever though. All their long words and tactful diplimacy in answering back in German. Ya vulle. (If that's a word.) *beep* clever. They could speak zee eng-glesh too. :PWow - the word natzis is beeped out - now that's one clever server!PPS - what was that last word beeped out? Oh hang on it's beeped out and I can't remember - what a surprise. I'm sure that it wasn't rude at all though. Let me think... it's was something like or fitting the descriptive clause 'very'. I promise you it wasn't anything 4 letter oriented or co*beep* - forgive the spelling my dictionary failed my failing brain - how you spell 'it'? Harsh - as in "punitive, exacting, strict, severe, unforgiving, tough".PPPS - err wrong meaning.
