Guest spook
Warpigs ClanMight be of interest to a certain 'Pig'? (You're in good company it seems.)
Guest The Ghost of Inept Pig
As much as I'd love to join a clan called 'War Pigs', they only play RTCW (it seems) which, although interesting, is not as fun as a good dose of Spearhead/BF1942...Plus, I've never been in a clan... it's too scary... I might not be good enough....Ah.. and:I will allways take orders from the clan leader and never argue with him in a scrimmageI don't know what a scrimmage is, so I'd argue at all the wrong times... and they spelt always wrong...I know - we should form a clan.. all 4-ish of us... I think.. is there that many of us that have the same game?oh.. well...nevermind....
Guest spook
It was just the coincidence that amused me and thought I'd bring it to your attention, knowing that serious interest wasn't something you'd consder giving to signing up. Nice site though!

I tend to go for the expensive weapon/struggle to kill people approach - unless playing DoD, then I go for the 'run for the flag and die' approach, which I seem to be a master of...The Ghost of Inept Pig - Returning to an IRC channel near you shortly... Guest Damo
Must admit i do have a soft spot for CS and DoD (more so the latter) but i do enjoy the odd romp around Stalingrad (or is it Leningrad?? Hmmm cant remember! )And im just gettin to grips with b1942 as ive only just bought it....but ill be a master in no time! (im sure! )Anyway...the only problem i find with CS, and its a problem that annoys everyone who plays it, THE CHEATERS!!!....Cant stand the little bleeders!......i get myself camped safely behind a wall (crouched down) completely out of site and the next thing i know is that ive had me head taken clean of by some pratt with a stupid name and a kill count in the millions!Hmmmm time to grab a pint at the local i think and plan my next attack strategy in de_dust! Oh joy! :lol:Ps..just for the record im not a Camper!!!!
Guest The Ghost of Inept Pig
My main problem with CS is that my all my bullets seem to have the ability to swerve around an enemy and embed themselves in the nearest wall... even from point blank range.... It's just not on.... The cheating is a bit much on CS too, although since everyone kills me in pretty much the same way (while laughing at my cr*p aim, probably) - I find it hard to tell the difference....
Guest Damo
   Yeah i should be on B1942 on mon or tues (my days off) Just have to bribe the missus into goin out...shouldnt be to hard..probably cost me though...but im sure watching Spooks antics will be more than worth it!! Guest spook
Eh?You mean clevely parachuting in to enemy base, stealing heavy armoured vehicle and routing the enemy, securing base/s and then running the enemy down, being hailed as a hero to all?Well. Tonight was useful info - IP managed to switch to the losing side quite a few times - quite an uncanny knack you had there Mr Pig. Very impressive. Oh yeah, vehicle flipping is an art form only equalled by crashing planes into virtually any sticky-out object, eh, IP? Got to try some of those Jeep mods though - they even have mounted machine gun ones in the back (like the early levels of MOH). Never played CS. So no comment. Come join in the fun, Damo. If you can manage the frequent sarcy remarks from a certain farmyard animal... (provided you two northerners don't gang up on me?) <_< .

Guest spook
Hee - no Damo, I'm not from Manc, just been stuck here since 1997... probably beginning to develop some of your bad habits 'like'. I'm from the very deep south, supporting nearest footy club (Saints) like I try to (when I remember they're playing: been an agonising existence following 'em, you boys up round this way have it easy in that regard, so long as you're sensible and support one of the rich teams (not Bury). Anyway, sorry if you two northern monkeys feel betrayed - you're both still welcome to spend time in more sophisticated 'southie' company - :D What's CS then? Commercial suicide? Some sort of irratating gas? Counter strike sounds like something they used to do in the 40s to ration people... it's good then, is it? What's special about it? If it's an old game, then it can't be as worth playing as some of these new titles surely? Enlighten me - if you would. Thanks.
Guest The Ghost of Inept Pig
Is it my fault it has auto-balancing? No.Is it my fault it picked on me? Also no.The tree ambushed me, and it's not like I saw you flying planes any better.Ahh... *beep* to it all
Guest spook
Trees...? You been at the voddie too, IP? I didn't see any of those lord of the rings style, walking tree Ents in the game? What mod u using? Well. That plane was heavy and the guy who used it after me (I know as I was using the belly guns to shoot at you) was equally smacktardish, as I at flying - cept he let fall some bombs with very nice accuracy.I'm gonna follow my own advice, and wack some of those many mods I collected for said game in to the BF folder - may try them out too. Ha ha.Auto balancing in teams can be a pain I agree - subject as I was to it myself - mind you, it was still funny thinking you lot defending Omaha beach (of all heavily defended places) performed far worse than any c.ra.p.py single player enemy AI ever did. We whooped yer aris, and got the job done in record time too. In single player mode, I left that level well alone - just too hard to secure the last axis base position it was. :P There's an interesting review of the Rome expansion pack in PC Zone by the way - contentious I thought. Plus some mods which us bandy broadnutters don't particular need to worry about as we've no doubt got 'em already.By the way - I've got to give this connection back to zen in the next few days (unless I pay for a couple more days extension I suppose). Be nice to make use of it - so if anyone's interested. I still have the BF demo installed, Mundy, Ordep... happy to join y'all for a farewell jaunt or 3. :)

ThanksTrue that its an old game...it uses the old Half- life Engine......made in around '98...but its still bloody good fun!Personally i would say that its the game that brought Online gaming to the masses! Its really a very simple game, being Terrorist V's Counter terrorists! But (Yup, there is always a but) over the last couple of years it's ben dogged and mainly spoilt by the sheer amount of cheaters that play!...maybe not so bad nowadays but there are still a few!But dont let this put you of! GO AND GET THIS GAME NOW!!!!!!!!!! :D I think if you look on ebay you should be able to pick up a copy of Half-life Generations pack (which includes CS) for around a tenner, maybe less! Its one game that i'll ALWAYS play along with 'Day of Defeat' which is a WWII Mod for Half-life!......Im sure Shirl would agree! Guest Mundy
Damo - I have Generations. Ace, ace ,ace. I did try CS a couple of times... didn't really know what to do. The usual story really, died so many times before I had a chance to even get my bearings that I gave up.

We whooped yer aris, and got the job done in record time too.I did Omaha on single player, taking out a huge amount of Axis scum with me, but last night... oh dear god, that was shocking, in my defence this is the most proof anyone will ever need that BF1942 is a team game, and that idiots who drive tanks down to the beach instead of using them to capture flags and kill the advancing enemy will cost you the battle....3 times in a row.. I think? It's when I end up on teams full of unhelpful people, like last night, that the game shows its more frustrating side... Don't worry about the bombers flying over the base... The AA guns are just there for decoration... I'm sure they'll stop once they realise that you're all waiting for a plane....
