However, whenever he types in the first line create database ****; as per the user guides instructions, he gets the followin error...ERROR 1044 (42000) Access denied for user: ''@' localhost' to database '****'Could anyone help him overcome this hurdle.edit: I just noticed this info at the top of the mysql window....Your MySQL connection id is 10 to server version:5.0.0-alpha-ntIs the 'nt' any kind of reference to O/S? as we use XP? << I bet that was a really dumb question :rolleyes: :D Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
