Apply "Choose Columns" to all folders?

Recommended Posts

In Windows 2000, if I am using Windows Explorer to view my folders, and I am using View->Details, Windows assumes a particular column width for the Name, Size, Type, and Modified settings. I don't like the default, so I chose View->Choose Columns, and set the widths I like.

It works fine for the folder I am in. However, it doesn't propogate my settings to all folders.

Whoa, I just solved it. :) Go to Tools->Folder Options and click Like Current Folder. The column settings get copied as well, even though they were accessed through a different menu.

I'm posting this anyway just in case it helps someone else.
