AjAy22
I have just bought a copy of Windows XP Pro to put on my home PC, however when i go to setup the below message appears:"Setup cannot continue because the version of Windows on your computer is newer than the version on the CD. Warning: If you decide to delete the newer version of Windows that is currently installed on your computer, the files and settings cannot be recovered."Does anyone have any ideas why?? Can it be because I have Service Pack 2 installed on the Home Edition?CheersAarron
djohn
Hello AjAy22. Yes, that will be the most likely reason. If you wish to carry on with the upgrade to XP Pro, do so then if necessary bring this new version up to date with SP2. :) I will delete the other post for you in the "Computer related section".
