Ok here is the question

If i put a picture in word and then realise it is to big, i right click on it, select format picture and then make it smaller(the picture)

However, when i look at the file size after i have saved it, the file size has actually become larger.

Could some please explain why?

Madboy. Just did a test and File 1 was 208KB - Size on disk 21KB

I then clicked on the bottom corner of the pic and 'dragged to re-size smaller and the File 2 Size and Size on disk remained the same. :D

Madboy. Just downloaded your bunny and found the file size to be 35.5 and 40.

The size was 151% x 162%

Reduced the bunny to 25% and saved a$ bunny 2 and found it went up to 41.5 and 44.

I then deleted the bunny and saved a$ bunny3 and still got 41.5 and 44.

Weird. Haven't got a clue why. :(

Is this any good, Tony - a filter and other tricks to reduce the size of web pages created in Word. Scroll down for the Word 2002 stuff when you've looked at the other gubbins.

Word MVP site

(Don't tell anyone about this site. It's where I get all the Word tricks and stuff from that impresses people at work). (Is impresses spelt like that? Doesn't look right).
