windows me

Recommended Posts

I was told by a so called expert that I had a problem with my windows me registry files and would have to reinstal the disc. I was told that I wouldn't have to uninstall it first, just run it.

Now the computer won't startup. Windows tries to start but continually shows the message unable to upgrade files %1 of %2.

Anyone know what this is?

Hello skoosh79. I'm not familiar with ME but you can normally overwrite the O/S without it upsetting your other files and programs. [We always recommend you back your files up first though]. Can you post back to this thread and tell us how you attempted to do it please?

Please say the exact method you have used and one of our ME experts will do their best to get your system up and running again. :)
