Both pc's are XP and both use broadband with a usb modem.I thought it was a case of typing in my IP address then the folder i had shared but it doesn't work.e.g http://123.123.123.123/sharedAny ideas? cheers guys. If not, another option is to set up a temporary FTP server with free software such as This. Remember to allow server rights or connection rights if you are running a firewall (which you should be doing. If not, try Sygate Personal Firewall from Here.). If so, you'll have to do a little configuration on the Router/Firewall to allow the traffic, and you'll have to go to the Router/Firewall's public (outside) IP Address.
