Remember the campaign a while back...

Games campaigners call it a day

The people behind the FairPlay campaign for cheaper video games in the UK have decided to call it a day.

In a statement they said they had "more to bring the issue of rip-off video game pricing into the public eye than has ever been done before."

FairPlay said waves of games price-cutting and a fall in the cost of consoles like the Xbox and the GaemCube had vindicated their campaign, "despite its thorough vilification by the games industry."

In a final blast at the games industry, it urged consumers to refuse to buy games at standard prices and instead buy them second-hand or swap them with friends
