Hey,

I have XP PRO

with TELUS VELOCITY ADSL (always connected)

Download cap = 150kb/s

Upload cap = 64kb/s

I usually hover around 40-100Kb/sec (usually closer to 40)

Ive gone through all of the recommandations (i.e, uninstalled zone alarm, ran spy/virus checks, analyzer test, checked network and ie settings, added registry tweaks, unplugged modem, went inside lan properties, applied PPPOPE fix (spelling), etc etc etc...

But still i experience a lag when surfing.

Is anyone able to help me tweak my Cablenut settings to the max? Thanks

HERE ARE TCP/IP ANALYZER results

TCP options string = 020405b40103030201010402

MTU = 1500

MSS = 1460

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 192000

RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits (scale factor of 4)

Unscaled Receive Window = 48000

For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.

Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:

513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)

256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)

128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)

64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product (Note this is not a speed test):

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 7680 kbps (960 KBytes/s) @ 200ms

Your RcvWindow limits you to: 3072 kbps (384 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 53 hops

TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349) = 00000000
