Guest Xper_me
Hi, I've partitioned my hard drive and now i've 2 local disks. I've recently use 1 of the disk to only store my downloads...The other disk,my windows is installed in there. So when i deleted the files from the disk which used to store my downloads, the total files size was 100mb,the files were completey deleted from the recyclin bin but in the disk, the space is still occupied. There are no files in the disk, but in the properties,it says 100mb of space is used.I tried to format the drive but to not avail.it says windows was unable to c omplete the format...Is there any way i can completely format that disk... :(
Prince of Calcutta
hmm you didn't say which o/s you use, so in case of win me and xp the space could be because of system restore ...also try going to folder options in control panel and enable hidden and system files to be seen.. and check the drive if there are any hidden files or folders..to format the disk download a bootable floppy from http://www.bootdisk.com and boot from it and format your drive
