xakep Posted March 23, 2005 Report Share Posted March 23, 2005 After a successfully removing a virus, trojans and hijackers, Norton Internet Security was installed on a 2k machine. The Norton firwall pops messages every 2-3 minutes of online time informing that a "...buffer_overflow" attack has been prevented on the PC.Is this to be believed? Does this mean that the PC must run the Norton Firewall as long as it does not get upgraded to XP? Has this machine been targeted by some sort of an attack bot?
