madboy33
Hi allI know this sounds a strange question, but why is the Hard drive called "C" and not the "A" drive?I mean surely it would be logical to call the HDD the "A" drive and then each and every one after that the B, C, D, E. etc etcCan anyone come up with a logical answer to this one? Guest VoG™
When these beasties first appeared they generally did not have HDDs. They had a 3½ inch floppy (A) and sometimes a 5¼ inch floppy - B. It was then logical for the HDD to become C.
