pwiecek
I just installed Windows XP Home Edition and the search function of windows explorer does not work correctly. Both "All or part of the file name" and "A word or phrase in the file" search by file name only.Is this a bug in XP or is my install bad? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
Any native Windows search has always been problematic. Extremely slow, and unreliable. My best experience with finding stuff on my system (with documents going back to more than 10 years) is Windows Desktop Search. I have also tried Google Desktop Search earlier, but it was not as reliable as WDS.
