Guest moon
Win98SeI tried to 'upgrade' my Soundblaster Live Platinum card with the KX system. Now I get the message ' Invalid VxD dynamic link call from VSYNTHD (01) + 0002DTFC to device "3A72", service 1 ' when I try to reboot. I've checked the usual 'error message' sites and it seems that the problem is that I've tried to install an older driver. Anyway, I can boot with the sound card removed, or I can get into 'safe mode' with it in. If I boot with it removed I see that my 3dfx card is also in trouble. I've removed every trace of the KX drivers that I can find, in all the usual places, but I'm still seeing a reference to them using WinDriversBackup in non-Windows drivers mode. Where they are residing is a mystery to me but if I can't remove them I'm going to have to REFORMAT !!!!!!!!!! YUK . Any help appreciated before I do. Guest moon
OK, no worries. I uninstalled 98SE and it rolled back to a clean 98. Reinstalled 98Se and I'm up and running. Just thought I'd let you know in case you were missing your favourite TV shows trying to crack my problem. :D
