dennis99
I recently implemented a password policy using Group Policy in 2003 Server, where some people have had to reset their password. A day or two later, one could not access one of the network shares, and today, someone had a problem where the system asked them for a password when trying to access a network share. Has anyone seen this before? Both machines are XP pro on a Windows 2003 server network.
homecomputeraid
Are all of your Servers 2003? Are the shares that can't be reached on a Server? The request for login seems when attempting to reach a share seems to indicate that the user isn't properly logged into the Domain. Does the request for login and password come up when trying to access any share, or just in a certain directory or on a certain Server?I have not encountered this particular problem before. dennis99
Thanks. The second incident was a case of someone using the wrong username. The first incident where he lost network access remains unresolved, but I mapped the drive by hand and now he is fine.
