You can check that information from Control Panel -> System -> tab Advanced -> Performance Settings -> tab Advanced -> Virtual Memory. If you click on the Change button, it will give you the minimum and maximum size of your virtual memory. (These instructions are for Windows XP; other Windows systems may be slightly different).Additional question: how much free space do you have on your C: drive (if this is where your Windows system is running from) ?Just checked on a Win 2000 system: C.P. -> System -> tab Advanced -> Performance Options -> Virtual Memory -> Change button. ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb Posted January 12, 2006 Report Share Posted January 12, 2006 I would set the minimum to 1024 and maximum to 2048 to begin with, then observe if you still get the error.There may be other causes; certain drivers can also cause it. korgg Posted January 12, 2006 Report Share Posted January 12, 2006 If you don't use applications that require much memory you could set the virtual memory to 1024 MB (min and max), making it fixed in size ... THEY say it is faster this way ... But you should check what programs run when ths message appears... I suspect that some of them you don't need ....
