Rebel=UK= Posted May 9, 2006 Report Share Posted May 9, 2006 Ive borrowed a Video camera off a mate and i want to know how i can get the video off the camera onto the pc i have the firewire cable and i am using the firewire port in my soundcard. dadyassa Posted May 9, 2006 Report Share Posted May 9, 2006 It depnds on what you want to do with it.You can use Windoze movie maker, but it wont save it as mpeg2.Plug in the firewire and turn on cam.Open WMM, click file and scroll down to capture video and it should pick up cam, and you can play about with it there.But if you want to make dvd`s then you need a trial of one of Ulead`s programs, mind you it is very time consuming.The best way just to copy the stuff on the cam is to connect it to a stand alone dvd recorder, it does it in real time.
