You should be able to remove it by going right clicking My Computer, properties, Computer Name tab, Change button, and put your computer in a workgroup instead of a domain. It goes to the login screen where I need to type in my pass and when I do I get that message. I tried to go through safety mode but I couldn't login there either. I read somewhere there is a hidden admin login through safe mode so I'll try that tonight. If it isn't there, look for an option to add it. If you can't find one try pressing control + alt + del twice, that should bring you to an older looking logon screen. jeg1972 Posted May 31, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 31, 2006 No bueno! At the log on to windows screen nothing happens when I hit ctrl/alt/del. I just have a place for my user name and pass. I went to check the groups and it was set to workgroups. Maybe it got changed somewhere and choosing this changed it back, I dunno. I didn't know about checking the domain/workgroup without your post.
