Yeah Posted June 30, 2006 Report Share Posted June 30, 2006 I have am currently reloading XP Pro onto my computer and have got to the key entering part but I don't have the key( as i put the wrong CD in ie SP1 CD instaed of SP2, which i have the key for). How do i now remove this istallation and start again with another the other CD (SP2)?If i try putting the new SP2 CD in and reboot it just goes back the other install and asks for the SP1 CD to be replaced.any ideas, thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kike Posted June 30, 2006 Report Share Posted June 30, 2006 But It´s kind of strange that the computer doesn´t ask you (after you reboot with the other system CD in the computer) "press any key to boot from CD".Just be sure that the computer BIOS has defined that can start boot from a CD first.And if that doesný work and since you dont have anything important in your computer, you can always restart you computer with a old system floppy and erase the partitions from the hard disk.
