Enxe
hi guys, been having this problem recently and its inconvenient for me...so any help wouldbe greatly appreciated :D Problem: When i insert any kind of CD and use a program to open it, it works perfectly fine (music, videos, etc.). But when I try to open the CD to browse its contents, it doesn't open it to let me see the contents. :( (The CDs i've been testing are perfectly clean and I've tried browsing their contents on another Laptop, which worked.)What I Tried: I already looked at device managers to see if everything is fine and it said "This device is working properly." I also tried disabling and enabling it, restarting computer, a ton of different kinds of CDs.I remember it became like this after i installed Roxio softwares such as Roxio Easy Media Creator 8 and Roxio VideoWave Movie Creator hmmm....maybe that has something to do with it lol?DVD/CD-ROM drive: TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632DI use Dell's Inspiron XPS M1710 (Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition)Any help would be greatly appreciated :) Thank You! VACkillers
Can you browse the contects of the CD through windows explorer? is it just the autostart that doesn't work?
Enxe
Autostart or autoplay works perfectly fine, but windows explorer cant browse the contents of the CD.Like if its a video i'd have to use windows media player to open it. I can't just "double click" the CD Drive and double click the video again. :(
