Hi , i plan to do a dual-boot on separate drive to have a fully secure system and then another one that might be more risky to virus and malware.

I try to find a way to hide the two drive from one another to prevent viral infection from spreading from one drive to another. I asked many forum but i receive no answer apart doing a virtual os.

If i disable the disk drive and the ide ata controler in device manager , can a virus can find its way to this drive ? Would this drive be as safe as unplugged ?

Thanks

Ok so what is it that your trying to dual boot..??? Windows and..??? Linux and ....???? ???? and ..????

I think about the only way you can ensure that there is viral transfer between the two drives is to remove one of them and keep it "as a back up drive"...

Ok let's forget about the dual boot.

Will disabling the driver of the hard drive in device manager will prevent any access to this hard drive .

That's what i want to know .

Thanks

I don't think so..! I don't think you can even do something like that..

If you want to ensure that no viral infection get's into the other drive in question then remove it from your computer..

Are you trying to do a back-up of the system..??? Is that what you mean..??
