ihavenoname
Not the history of Internet pages I've visited. I'm not that oblivious, but I might have just missed something with this. When I do a search for something in the search sidebar, autocomplete will show me the little box of what I've already searched for. I know I can turn autocomplete off, but I'm just annoyed by this, for some reason. Is there any way to just delete the history in the search sidebar? cozofdeath
I'm guessing you use IE. If so check out the link below, it will tell you how to clear it.http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=217148
ihavenoname
I actually use Firefox, and the autocomplete is in the Explorer window, like when going through your hard drive.
cozofdeath
If your sure its in the location bar in the explorer.exe window, then clearing your internet explorer cache will take care of that. If you mean XP's search feature then go to Start, run then type regedit then hit enter. Click once on HKEY_CURRENT_USER then go to Edit, Find and type in something that is in your autocomplete you don't want to see. You should get to a key like HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMruorHKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2496648727-3740752838-2416546759-1003\Software\Microsoft\Search Assistant\ACMruThe second key may have different numbers after HKEY_USERS. Just delete all the search values in them registry keys. Is that what you mean? Sorry theres a lot Windows stores on everyone and the only autocomplete feature I've ever heard of is for to help with form completion in web browsers. Let me know how how things go. :D
