hello

i have a windows xp pro sp2

usually when i start the computer in safemode, it starts up by asking me if i want to use safemode, or restore it to a previous state (system restore).

Now, it doesnt even start safemode, but justs has the black screen, with the words "windows xpsp2..." and stuff at the top and bottom, and safemode on all corners...and stays that way

what is wrong with it?

is it a problem with any disabled services...or maybe enabled?

anything to do with the hardware?

no

it doesnt skip all that

i press f8

or i can go through msconfig and stuff

but what happens is that once safemode loads...since i have a workgroup or w/e i have to enter my username and password...same as normal...and it starts to load the safe mode...but just that it doesnt show the desktop or taskbar or anything

its a black screen with safemode written on all corners...and windows xpsp2 and stuff at the top...(ussually happens when it used to load b4)

so what could be wrong...is it not loading my drivers or something to display the taskbar and all

if itll help, i used safemode with command prompt...and that loads up and brings command promp...no taskbar and stuff but i dont think its supposed to have it

maybe its the drivers...how do i fix that?
