Welcome to the Windows Forum!

A few questions back to you for clarification...

  1. Are you on Windows Vista, as you are posting this in the Vista forum?
  2. You write that when you send a Word attachment, you cannot open it. Isn't it the recipient that should, but could not open it? Please clarify.
  3. What email client are you using - Windows Mail (Vista), Outlook Express, Outlook, other?
  4. What version of Windows Defender are you using? Did you install the beta version, and do you still use the beta version? (WD beta expired on Dec 30)
