Workaround For Sophos Error 3057

When installing the Windows Vista version of Sophos Anti Virus, you may receive the following error message:

Error 3057

There was an unexpected error while attempting to create, repair or delete a user account. Contact your support personnel.

To fix this, run 'regedit' and browse to:

'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE'

On the SOFTWARE key, right click and select permissions.

Add yourself to the users list with full control.

Re-install Sophos, and this time it should work.

This problem also affects win xp pro user as well and the same fix works

Can also add Domain Admins to the list (or any other group) works in the same way
