Windows XP Media Center Question

I have Windows XP Media Center Operating System on my new PC. I subscribe to Major League Baseball TV - I watch baseball games on my PC. Before I bought the new PC, I would sign on to MLBTV and start to watch a game. The MLBTV website allowed me to adjust the volume (slide bar) and change from very small screen to 1/2 screen or to full screen mode. All of these options came directly from the MLBTV web site. My new PC will not allow me to use the MLBTV web site functions at all. Instead, the Windows Media Center 'takes over' the baseball broadcast as soon as I click on the game to watch. That is, I can not access the MLBTV web site to change the options. Windows 'video' controls the picture and sound. How can I stop Windows from taking control (remove the default??) and get to the MLBTV website to make my viewing choices?
