Internet-Rich Posted March 16, 2007 Report Share Posted March 16, 2007 I purchased a new external backup device (Acomdata E5-Hybrid FDD) and after I installed it (Comes with both CD and FDD partition) I started having FDD problems. Windows Explorer (XP-Home) Computer would display the External CD portion of the device but the FDD portion would come and go. With Beeping from the computer between transitions. I called tech support, they said bad device, I traded it in on another new unit, now I can't get the FDD portion to come up at all. To make matters worse I cannot get my USB Plextor PX-708UF External DVD-RW unit to come up and read a DVD or CD. It flashes on and off with beeps just like the FDD!I do have a USB 1.1 Scanner and an HP 3050 4in1 Laser Printer USB 2.0 on the system and they works OK Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
