xx.jason.xx
My C drive will not boot anymore, but I can still connect it to my external case and browse through it, so access to the actual drive is no problem.I need to know where my former My documents files and folders are located, as I have a ton of files that I need from that location. I never changed the location or anything, so I assume it is still in the same spot.I was running Media Center on the old drive.any other info needed, i can provide it.Thanks in advance as this is frustrating the hell out of me. I only have a My Documents folder under the hidden Default User folder, but it has nothing in it.Maybe there is another common place for it, possibly somewhere in the root directory or something? ɹəuəllıʍ ʇɐb
If 'My Documents' was created by the system, then it should be there under your user name. However, I also have another one directly at C:\My Documents, created by some stupidware. Check if you have anything there. If not, do a Windows search for *Documents* on the entire HD. Make sure that hidden files and folders are visible.
