administrator password

Hi, I'm newbie.

I've a few questions need help form all of members.

1. I created administrator password in my winxp pro .One day I forgot my password nothing can do.How to get back my password/reset ?

2. 2nd Situation : Assumed my winxp system already created password.How to delete the password & make my system auto log in ?

3. How to setup my winxp system/pc/server auto shutdown time ? example : I like my system will auto shutdown at 6 pm ?

sorry asking to many question.hopefully there are expert windows can guide me !!!

1. Should be able to (assuming your other account is admin level), right click on My Computer and click Manage, go to Local Users and Groups, right click on Administrator and hit Reset Password.

2. If you dont want to get rid of the password you can go to Start > Run, type in "control userpasswords2" (without quotes) and then select the account you want to automatically log in, uncheck the "Users must enter password blah blah" box, and then put in your password when asked. (You can also use TweakUI)

3. Im sure theres a better way, but you can open notepad, type in "shutdown -s -t 0" save it, change the extension to .bat and then put it somewhere, then go to Control Panel > Scheduled Tasks, add a scheduled task, hit browse and to that .bat file, set it for 6pm.
