I'm a technical support person and there is pc run widows xp and installed with Visual studio 6.

That pc is member of our domain and use usual domain user account to log on to the domain. (that domain user account is member of the default users group of the local computer)

The problem is when that user going to add visual basic component in visual basic 6, gives some error and close the VB programe.

But that vb componenets install well, after that user added to the power users group of the local computer .

Pls help me to install vb components under default user. (I think there may give user permission on registry for that user)

Sorry, I misunderstood.

Question: what version of Visual Studio have you installed? I believe the latest version of VS6 is SP6 (see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/194022. If you are on an earlier level, I would foremost install the latest service pack, then try again.

If you are already on SP6, then can you check the Event Viewer if there are more detailed information on what's happening at the time of the error?
