Installing NT - legacy stuff

Hi guys. I have this legacy desktop that I'm using as sever for my home. Old stuff. I put NT 4.0 Server Enterprise Edition onto it.

I have option pack, sp6a, etc... I want to know of add on back office products for this platform. Such as ISA server. I have to download it and install it, so I could use proxy functionality, right? Which version?

What other add on server products from Microsoft are available for NT?

Don't get me wrong, I sort of like 2003 R2 functionality. But, I'd need to spend some money on new hardware, and here I have something old and free, thus, let's put NT onto it, it works wonders.. In fact, I used to have NT on this server, until hard disk broke after 2 or so years of service. Now it's new hard drive, time to install it all again.

What do I want to do?

A) WINS, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP..

B) VPN, so I could log onto my network from afar via either modem or VPN..

C) I have this old WiFi router, which is outdated because it don't support WPA. So I'm going to offer free internet thing. Where I allow people to access it for free, and when they want to see any web site, I redirect them to my site, offering services for computer repairs, etc, etc... Why not lol..

D) Whatever... This is enterprise edition of server... I can do anything I want to.. It's great. In fact, I'm thinking when I build a new machine I'll still put NT server on it.

Please let me know what software (such as ISA and what version) I could download for my NT server. (or order, quote un quote)..

Even with ability to get 2003 Server R2, I'm apprehensive of it. I like NT, for whatever reason.

We still have a few NT4 servers in operation, but we have long stopped doing any maintenance to these. The hardware is too old to load anything newer on it, and I hope that they will all someday be replaced by some newer servers with the latest server software. But anyway, the stuff works and doesn't cost us anything. So just leave it until the hardware falls to dust.

However, thinking of newly installing NT4 slightly boggles my cranium. NT4 is almost as old as Windows 95, and it's long past its expiration date. It's no longer supported, and therefore vulnerable. Not much new software runs on it, and not much knowledge around any more. (Thus your questions.)

The fact that you "like" NT may be some reason to install it, but it seems like a lot of wasted time to me (your posts in the Windows Support forum). I personally would rather install the Windows Server 2008 beta than fooling around with an obsolete operating system.
