strra Posted November 2, 2007 Report Share Posted November 2, 2007 this would be rough because you'd have to reinstall windows every time you restarted the computer.maybe if you made a ramdisk to install windows and kept it on an uninterruptible power supply so the computer would never lose power, it may be doablebut if you want to spend a little money, you can buy a 8gb SSD from newegg.com that runs around the same speed for about $180.. it's enough to install windows for an almost instant boot and then you can use a slave drive for storage. just remember that they don't make SSDs in 3.5" form factor so you'd either have to get a SATA SSD (which is a bit more expensive) or a 2.5" (or 1.8") to 3.5" converter Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
