jaross
so, I just got my windows computer back up and running. it is hardwired into my router. I also have a Apple Powerbook. It is connected through wifi. the powerbook is all I have used for the past year give or take, and I have used it with the router just fine forwarding various ports and setting up the network for my roommates who all run windows. In any case, if I go to my routers address on my PC, it occasionally asks for a password, but often it doesn't even get that far. The page just keeps loading and loading and nothing happens. I get the internet. I can download at 700kbps as a matter of fact. But also, with some websites take curiously long to load. this website for one. I am on right now on my mac, just because it would not fully load on my PC. I have the IP address, default Gateway, and DNS servers manually typed in on my PC, and that seems to be just a bit better, but not enough. I can also play games online with little ping. I have the windows firewall disables and I am currently using the Nvidia firewall but firewall or no firewall, there seems to be no difference. Also, when I start Bit comet (torrent program) it comes up with a message saying SP2 having a Half Open TCP connection will not work. does this have anything to do with it and if so, what limit 10-200 should I have? I now have the nvidia firewall uninstalled and am using Sygate persional firewall.
