Removing an error message?

OK, first off, GREAT and informative site here. I have spent numerous hours viewing and have learned quiet a bit. This is a technical question that I can not figure out via web search etc... I have computers where I work that I limit all hard drive access to the users and only allow them to open or save to and from a floppy disk or USB/thumb drive. Most everything else is restricted even to the point that they can not add a Favorite from an internet site. Because of this, when these users open up MS Office and then click on Open, they get the following message. "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." Basically, this is remedial but I would like to make it where this does not pop up. Is this a possibility or am I just wishing? I've been in I.T. since the early 80's but just not at the code/programmer levels.

Is it any Office component that acts that way? Let's say the user opens Word, then clicks Open, and the message appears?

I assume that Word tries to open the default location 'My Documents', which is protected, so that message appears. Can you find a way to change the default location to an "allowed" location?

Thanks for the response. You got me thinking so I gave this generic user admin rights and then logged in as them and made some location changes within Office but still get the message IF a floppy disk is not in the drive when they click Open. Like I said, the way I have it setup, nothing can be done to the hard drive by this user. Maybe I'll have to rethink what I'm doing and go about this another way?

Do you know if there is hodge podge, holding area for all Office error messages so that this one in particular can just be removed from its' menu or is that just wishful thinking?
