I have searched the forums, but I can't seem to find a solution to my problem, so here goes: When my laptop first boots up, Windows tries to reconnect my mapped network drive before my wireless connection is active. I am currently running Vista, but I had this problem with XP also. I am using a static IP on my notebook. Once I am finished booting, I can click on the network drive in explorer and it reconnects right away. I guess the solution would be to direct Windows to connect to my mapped drive later in the boot process, perhaps I can set a delay in the registry? Is it just causing slowdowns on booting up? It sounds like it works when you click on it even though it shows as being disconnected until you do so. Is it just an annoyance?
