MacOSXrocksToo Posted February 16, 2008 Report Share Posted February 16, 2008 Why is it that I had vista installed on a separate partition than XP, but I decided I dont want it, so I went into partition magic on the XP side, removed the vista partition, and resized the XP partition to take up the whole HD, then I rebooted, but the Windows Boot Manager still appears, asking me to boot from "Windows Vista", or "Earlier Version Of Windows"?Shouldn't it automatically boot into XP, since there is no Vista? I guess XP, so you will need to manually edit boot.ini; see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/289022 for details.Make a copy of the boot.ini file before you modify it!
