Limited user

Hello,

First of all, sorry for my bad English, it is not my native language: 1st is French, 2nd Dutch, 3rd English (or “a sort of” !) .

I am a rookie on this forum : 62 years young, just retired, living in Brussels - Belgium.

My PC is running Win XP Pro SP2 (English U.S. version).

I created on my PC a limited user to permit, has a guest, to connect to the internet and use the Office tools, but block any changes in the settings of other tools.

What is the best way to prevent a limited user to access the other installed applications ?

I don't know the exact answer to your question - I have never set up a limited user account, so I don't know what it can do and what it cannot.

I hope someone on this forum can give me some tips to setup the apllication access rules for that specific user profile.

My 1st idea was to use the encrypt option on the .exe of the concerned application in the Program Files folder, but i don't know what consequences this could

produce (what appens when the system tries to use the application ? what about updates via the net ...?).
